Unseen yet always felt, the emotional spectrum is made of energy that permeates the cosmos, and it is energy that can be, and has been, harnessed directly. The Green Lantern Corps is one such famous group that has harnessed this power, using the energies of Will to give strength to a group who would keep peace across the universe. In order to assist the Green Lanterns against the rising tide of evil, the Blue Lantern Corps was also formed, using the power of Hope. This is the story of the first Blue Lantern, "Saint" Bro'Dee Walker. |
Saint Walker A wise and kind soul from Sector 1, Bro'Dee Walker was chosen by the Guardians of the Universe because of his natural ability to instill great Hope among others. Hope is a power that inspires others; it brings comfort to those in pain and patience to those suffering - it is because of this emotion's vital role in helping the weak and downtrodden that the Guardians needed a proper representative. Saint Walker was chosen, and hopes to bring peace and enlightenment to others. He does not kill, but he is very capable of defending himself. Using the power ring granted to him, Saint Walker has the ability to reach into the hearts of others and heal them; the ring also grants him the power to fly, and provides him with an aura of protection that shields him from the void of space, the pressure of water, and also augments his physical strength. When surrounded by wielders of Will, Green Lanterns and several others, he can also create 'constructs', objects made from pure, hardened light in the form of whatever the user wishes. |
